During the use of valves, there are often some troubling problems, such as whether the valve is tightly closed or not. What should I do?

Generally, if the valve is not tightly closed, first confirm to see if it has been closed in place. If there is still leakage that cannot be sealed after it has been closed in place, then check the sealing surface. If the sealing pair of some valves is removable, then take it out for grinding and retest. Of course, if it is still not tightly closed, then you must return to the factory for maintenance or replacement of the valve, To avoid problems such as affecting the normal use of the valve and causing operating conditions accidents.

If the valve does not close tightly, first find out where the problem is, and then solve it according to corresponding methods. Generally, there are several reasons why the valve cannot be tightly closed:

(1) There are impurities stuck on the sealing surface, which deposit at the bottom of the valve or cushion between the valve flap and valve seat;

(2) The valve stem threads are rusty and the valve cannot rotate;

(3) The sealing surface of the valve is damaged, resulting in media leakage;

(4) The poor connection between the valve rod and the valve flap makes the valve flap and the valve seat deflect and cannot be tightly contacted.

Treatment method for valve not being tightly closed:

1、 There are impurities blocking the valve sealing surface

Sometimes the valve suddenly fails to close tightly, which may be due to impurities stuck between the sealing surfaces of the valve. At this time, force should not be applied to forcibly close the valve. Instead, slightly open the valve slightly, and then try to close it again. Generally, it can be eliminated by repeated attempts. Otherwise, inspection should be conducted to maintain the quality of the medium clean.

2、 Rust on valve rod threads

When accidentally closing a valve that is normally in the open state, it may not be tightly closed due to rust on the valve stem threads. In this case, you can repeatedly open and close the valve several times, while tapping the bottom of the valve body with a small hammer, which can tightly close the valve without grinding and repairing the valve.

3、 The sealing surface of the valve is damaged

If the switch cannot be closed tightly after multiple attempts, the sealing surface has been damaged and should be reported for repair; Or if corrosion or particle scratches in the medium damage the sealing surface, it should also be reported for repair.

4、 Poor connection between valve rod and valve flap

Frequently lubricate the valve stem and valve nut to ensure flexible opening and closing of the valve. There should be a formal maintenance plan.
